Over the weekend J and I tackled our first landscaping project. We added flowers around our front yard trees. We also added the extra ones we couldn't fit around the trees around a small bush on the side of our garage.
It sure has been an awfully wet spring. I'm not complaining too much as I am a weather fanatic, especially when it's extreme. Now, don't get me wrong - I don't like seeing death and destruction because of weather, but I can't help but feel awfully small as a huge thunderstorm rolls in over the hills. It's nature's reminder of just how awesome she can be.
Since we moved into the new house, I've vowed to have a more "hands on" approach with decorating. I want to make more of an effort in decorating our house like an adult, but not break the bank in the process,...
I feel so "HGTV" right now. I purchased a vintage "French country" style desk for my new office a few weeks ago and finally got around to painting it white.
I figured this “Monday Makings” needed to be something other than food for once, so I did it. I finally completed my first DIY project since middle school history class where I had to put together a scrapbook about the San Antonio missions.
I, unfortunately, do not have a strong DIY gene. I can make simple things, and enjoy the occasional home project or two, but the majority of the "visual creativity" belongs to my sisters and mom.
