With the end of the year comes a lot of change, and a lot of sales (yay)! Some of my favorite stores are having sales to close out their 2017.
I begin most of my Christmas shopping in early November purely because I am an anxious person and the thought of me scrambling to get gifts for all my friends and family with just a few weeks left before Christmas makes my heart start to race.
Although I do have a deep love for fashion, I appreciate that I live in a city where it's appropriate (at almost any place) to wear t-shirts, shorts and flip flops.
I love when weeks are busy with work. Not only does it make me feel super accomplished at the end of the week, but it also gives me an excuse to dress up and put on make up.

My parents hosted a fantastic party weekend for family and friends in Horseshoe Bay. Although J and I didn't go up until Saturday afternoon, the had events and parties beginning Friday morning.
Fashion is a passion... of mine. See what I did there? I enjoy clothes and work hard to look my best wearing them. Luckily, people have told me I have decent fashion sense, so I've decided to share what I wear throughout the week in order to inspire some new looks or fresher ideas for my readers. Plus, I definitely want to be able to keep sharing with you where I find these items.
Happy Tuesday! The weekend is over and I failed miserably at not spending any money over the weekend. I don't know what it is, but on weekends, I get this need to shop. I drug J along with me and we managed to purchase another great canvas art piece for our house.
The older I got the more frustrated I became with the lack of clothing available in stores for petite women. There was one store that I began to rely on for great, well-fitting petite clothes was the Loft. It seemed to be the only place that had a decent sized petite section, as well as a large selection online. Their clothes fit true to size and the quality was great.
I love fashion, but many of the bloggers I follow are tall and skinny and make anything they wear look great. I, on the other hand, couldn't attempt half of the looks they promoted because my body is the exact opposite.
I've often searched for ways to style my fall and winter attire over the years since my typical look is nothing too special: a long-sleeved sweater, jeans, and boots. I'm rather bored with it, actually. When a close friend of ours recently told me she had launched her new luxury scarf collection, I knew I had found a perfect, yet practical way to spruce my style up this season.
Living in Texas is great! The people are nice, the air is clear, and the weather is warm all year round. However, when fall rolls in and pumpkin-spice-everything lines the shelves and coffee shop menus, we're often left sitting in the corner feeling like we've been picked last for dodgeball again.
Swimsuit season is a touchy topic to discuss. You either love it or you don't. I personally love it, not only because I enjoy lounging by the pool and working on my tan, but because swimsuits have gotten so much more fun over the years.
