Bow Ties & Bare Shoulders

The older I get the more frustrated I become with the lack of clothing available in stores for petite women. There is one store, however, that I began to rely on for great, well-fitting petite clothes: the Loft. It seems to be the only place that has a decent sized petite section, as well as a large selection online. Their clothes fit true to size and the quality is great.
Now, I am a true the Loft fanatic and buy everything from work dresses to casual shirts to pants from here. I signed up for their e-newsletter, which is dangerous because they email me every time there is a sale going on and there is ALWAYS a sale going on.
Well, they got me the other day. It was good timing on their part since I've been in desperate need of new shirts and blouses. Plus, I was looking for a great outfit for Memorial Day weekend festivities.
When I saw this red "cold shoulder" shirt with ruffle tie sleeves, I was sold. I paired it with some white jeans and sandals for a daytime look, but I love that I could easily throw on some heels to dress it up a bit.
Shirt: The Loft (size Petite Small) / Jeans: Kate Spade (size 25) / sandals: Jack Rogers (size 5 1/2) Similar style here
The "cold shoulder" look is EVERYWHERE right now. Every store I browse in has about 20 different off-the-shoulder options. I just love this look because it provides a little bit of sexiness and sassy to a still classy outfit.
Right now, the Loft is having a huge Memorial Day flash sale! 40% off all full-priced items, 50% off all sale items, and free shipping for everything until Tuesday. (Use the code 'FLASH' at checkout.) I highly suggest popping over for a look at what they have! (Exclusions may apply.)
This shirt is only $24.50. That's it! It's a great price for a great quality, versatile piece.
I have a feeling this is going to be one of my go-to shirts this summer. What are you going to wear this Memorial Day weekend?
