Theodore and the Enchanted Bookstore Series + Giveaway
/This post is in collaboration with Incorgnito Publishing Press. I received these books as gifts, however, all opinions are truthful and my own. Read below to find out how to enter the giveaway.
As you guys know, J & I don’t have kids yet, but that has never stopped me from acting like one whenever I see anything Corgi related. From pillows to socks to pajamas to coffee mugs, I fangirl hard each time I see something new. Along with Corgis, I also enjoy large glasses of wine, cooking, and especially reading. When Incorgnito Publishing Press reached out to me to help spread the word about their new “Corgi Bits” series Theodore and the Enchanted Bookstore, I jumped at the opportunity.
Considered a middle-grade series, Theodore and The Enchanted Bookstore gives readers an excuse to rev up the imagination, as well as hang out with an adorable, bumbling Corgi for a little while. Books classified as “middle-grade” reading typically are intended for readers ages 7 to 12 years old with stories that often highlight everyday situations these young children may be facing: friendships, family issues, acceptance, physical changes, etc.
At first I was skeptical how I would like it. I mean, I’m 29 years old and my reading is well above the middle school level (I promise :P), but because I would never share and review something on the blog that I didn’t fully test out on myself, I read them both before sending them to my nephew to enjoy.
Peeps- this is a cute series. It really is. Whether you love Corgis or not, but I do, so that’s why this series is even cuter in my eyes.
Both books in the series- “Theodore & The Enchanted Bookstore: The Tale of the Spectacular Spectacles” and “Theodore & The Enchanted Bookstore: The Adventures of Robin Hound”- range from 75 pages to 100 pages with a fast-flowing storyline.
The first book starts with introducing us to Theodore, a cute little Corgi down on his luck. While living with his adoptive mother during his puppyhood, he finds his cute endearing puppy-like qualities aren’t so enjoyable to his owner anymore, especially now that she has a new baby. After his adoptive mom relinquishes ownership and leaves him at a local shelter, Theo loses hope of ever being loved again. Enter Sam stage left.
Sam, the owner of a local bookstore, adopts Theo as his new “reading dog” to entertain the kids during weekly story time at the store. Soon Sam and Theo become fast friends, despite Theo’s clumsiness. After discovering Theo’s eyesight to be the cause of his accidental messes and mishaps, Sam orders glasses to help his new pal out. Once the glasses arrive, the adventures begin!
As of now, there are two books in the series, with the third book, titled Mysterious Abbot & The Velveeta Rabbit: Theodore and the Enchanted Bookstore written and will be released in June.
