Read MoreI visited the North Pole this weekend. Okay, not exactly the North Pole, but I figured it’d be a very similar experience as to the one I had this weekend at the Houston Nutcracker Market. There are hundreds of vendors that set up shop in the NRG Convention Center to spread holiday cheer …
Read MoreI actually was scared opening up my blogging portal for the first time in literally 1 month… The guilt of neglecting my little space of interweb is real. Whether people read it or not, I feel like there’s been so much going on in my life that I want to talk about, but then on the other hand, there hasn’t.
Read MoreAfter almost two months of silence on my blog, I finally got the urge to write again. Sometimes my writer’s block gets so strong that I literally cannot think of anything good to write about. I then get distracted by work and other obligations and completely forgot I have a blog all together.
Read MoreOddly enough there aren't to many good Italian-American restaurants on the side of town J and I live. Luckily, Maggiano's is one of the few. You can get good food (and a lot of it) for a nice price. Especially since they give you a 'to-go' pasta for free when you order a pasta at the restaurant.
Read MoreLasagna is a sacred dish in our family. We have it on special occasions or when sometimes when the family gets together on Sundays for dinner. The recipe is passed down by teaching the younger generation.
Read MoreWhat a weekend! It was filled with family, friends and food. What's better than that? Not much, in my book. On Friday night J and I went out to eat with my parents whom we haven't seen in a few weeks. On Saturday night I made a new lasagna recipe (coming soon in another post) that is definitely worth sharing, and on Sunday morning our close friends came over for a World Cup watch party.
Read MoreI haven't written a post since March. March! Holy Mariah I'm way behind. I hate that I've let my blog fall to the wayside as my twin sis and I continue to build and grow our real estate business together. (BTW- we've moved brokerages and are now at a family-owned brokerage called Phillips & Associates Realty. We love it so far!)
Read MoreCurry has struck again on the blog! Man, I never knew how much I loved curry until last year, and now I can't seem to stop eating it. Lately, I've only done Thai curry dishes, but I've already been told by a fellow reader to try out out Indian curries, so I'm on the look out for those.
Read MoreLooking at my Netflix account under "Recommended for You", one would think I speak 4 different languages. I don't know what it is lately, but I've been hooked on international films and shows. Although sometimes tiresome and annoying to read subtitles, I get over the feeling quickly thanks to the attractive storylines, beautiful locations, and interesting cultures.
Read MoreSwimsuit season is a touchy topic to discuss. You either love it or you don't. I personally love it, not only because I enjoy lounging by the pool and working on my tan, but because swimsuits have gotten so much more fun over the years.
Read MoreIt's been almost a month since I wrote my last blog post. I'm sorry :/ On a good note, Twin Sis and I have been beyond busy with work. On a bad note, I've neglected other things I enjoy doing like write to you all.
Read MoreY'all know I enjoy cooking. It never used to be one of my favorite things to do, but the older I get (and the second I moved out on my own), I learned I need to have some basic skills in order for myself and my waistline to survive adulthood.
Read MoreIt's hard to shop for boys, I'm not going to lie. Especially when your guy is a typical guy- he doesn't necessarily enjoy getting new clothes or grooming products. His hobbies are cars and electronics.
Read MoreI don't go to the grocery store that often. Not because I don't enjoy going. I actually really do! I love browsing the aisles for new foods to try, or getting ingredients for meals I've planned out for the week.
