Blogilates: A Year (And Two Months) Review
/It's been a year and two months since I started on my Blogilates fitness journey. (Read my original post here). I discovered Cassey Ho and her Blogilates/ POP Pilates workouts on Facebook one day, and I'm so glad I did because I've been actually excited to work out ever since.
Whenever I get the question, "how do you eat so much, but stay so small?" I balk a bit. Ladies and gents- I am not the type to eat what I want and not reap the consequences. I come for an Italian-American family who LOVES food and wine, and our bodies show it not long after. I do not stay "small" because I'm genetically inclined. I work hard to stay small by exercising in some way, shape, or form almost every day.
Being 5'3/4 inches tall, any type of weight gain is easily noticeable. Five pounds on me is the equivalent of 15 pounds on an average height woman- it's obvious. That's why I'm so happy that I found Blogilates when I did.
I was at my skinniest I'd been since freshman year of high school on my wedding day. Obviously, I had a goal in mind to fit into my dress that day, but afterwards, it was a free-for-all food frenzy. I noticed that I wasn't feeling as good as I did about my body and it made me self-conscious and nervous I'd end up how I was in college- 20 lbs. over my ideal weight and miserable.
The more I did Blogilates, the stronger I became, the more stamina I now have, and the more toned my body now looks. I seriously love what Cassey has created- a simple, yet effective exercise program for women around the world. It's easy, it's free, and it's fun.
No excuses- she gives you the workouts to do each day (on her calendars). They range from 5 minute videos to 30 minute videos. After completing all the workouts of the day, you've done about a 45 minute workout. It's awesome!
If you haven't already checked it out, you need to.
