Get Fit with Blogilates
/I attended Barre classes for over a year until just recently. I fell into a workout slump and got tired of driving to the studio in the mornings and spending a lot of money on classes. I'm sure many of you can relate.
Instead, I opted to stay in my neighborhood and walk the hills with Luna. I figured why not exercise her, too! However, walking just wasn't cutting it, especially now that the summer heat has officially peaked. If I don't head out first thing in the morning, Luna can only last about 20 minutes before she looks like she's donzo.
Last year I started noticing this fitness blogger/ YouTube star in my Facebook feed who was posting really neat recipes and fitness videos. I "liked" her page because I found her motivating and brand really colorful and fun, not really because I was going to do the workouts.
Until one day, I decided to check out her website. Her name is Cassey Ho and she runs Blogilates, one of the world's leading at-home fitness blogs/ Youtube pages/ programs!
Since 2006, she's been posting fitness exercises on YouTube for those who wanted a great workout, but didn't have the funds, time or resources to join a gym. Now, she's grown her brand into a fitness empire with videos, books, fitness instructor certifications, and even an activewear clothing line.
She created POP Pilates, which is a total body, equipment-free workout that sculpts a solid core and a lean dancer's body. You can do the workouts where you have some open space and internet connection/ phone service. I watch all my videos on YouTube, however, she has her own app you can download to get all the videos, calendars, and even a workout timer directly on your phone or tablet.
She provides monthly calendars that give you the EXACT videos to watch each day for a great workout. You just print and go. All you have to do is sign up for her newsletter and each month she gives you the password to access the new calendar. I love it because it's a mix of Pilates and Barre, so my body is already familiar with several of the moves she does in her videos.
I began Blogilates this month, and after 3 weeks, I finally feel like I'm getting back into shape. She makes the workouts fun thanks to her bubbly personality and her awesome workout environment. Girl has a flair for interior design and does a great job at creating a beautiful space to teach.
Her community of POP peeps stands nearly 3 million strong and spans around the world. I could write a 1,000-word blog post on this amazing her stuff is, but I'll save you the time. Instead, I want you to head on over and check out her website!
So if you feel like you are running low on time throughout the day to get a great workout in or tired of spending all this money on gym memberships you never use, check out Cassey and the POP Pilates program. Don't worry about feeling "out of shape" or "too beginner" for her videos. She always shares modifications in case you aren't able to do the moves right off the bat.
Happy exercising!
