Let's Rodeo, San Antonio!

I haven't been to the rodeo in years. YEARS! Every year the dirt and sand come out and the bulls and cowboys head to town, yet the last time I threw on true cowboy boots and headed down to see the events was at least solid 11 years ago.

This weekend that changed when one of my best friends received tickets to see Rascal Flatts perform after the rodeo events on Friday night.

Rascal Flatts was one of my very first "favorite bands" in country music. Their first single Prayin' for Daylight, could often be heard blasting from my blue stereo in my childhood room. I had always wanted to see them in concert, but as the years went on, I focused more on seeing my favorite solo performers (Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, etc.)  rather than bands.

Friday night I got my chance to see them live and it was awesome! The best part: the sounded just like they do on the records. You know they have true talent when they can hit every note after rocking out on stage.

Before the show started us four gals walked the grounds in search of good rodeo food before the show. We stumbled upon this Bloomin' Onion that we scarfed down in a matter of minutes.

They had other delicious things like Pickle-on-a-Stick, Alligator Bites, and Fajita Tacos!

After some calf roping, barrel racing and bull riding, Rascal Flatts hit the stage for two hours of great music. They played all the classics like "Mayberry", "Hurt", "Why Wait?", and"Fast Cars & Freedom". We sang along to every single one of them.

There's something about being at a concert with your girlfriends that makes it even more fun and the music that much better. Who should we go see next?

Hope you had a great weekend!
