New York State of Mind

Two of J's and my very best friends got married this weekend in Rochester, NY and we couldn't have been more thrilled. In fact, Sami was who introduced J and I when they were each other's roommate in college, Allison and I were in the same sorority for a time. You know when you meet a couple and instantly understand why they are meant for each other? That's these two? Seeing them together is just natural.

Not only did we get to see our old college gang once again, but we also got to explore a new state together.

Although I've been to NYC a few times, this was J's first time in the Empire State. This was a whole new side of NY that I had never seen before and it's certainly a drastic difference than the concrete jungle that is NYC.

Twin sis came also with us to celebrate this amazing occasion, and it was like we had never graduated college seeing everyone we used to hang out with. We're all scattered about Texas, so we don't get to see them as often as we'd like.  I miss them :(

The wedding hotel was The Strathallan, a recently renovated Doubletree by Hilton hotel located in the historic district of Rochester.

*J and I registered for the Hilton Honors program prior to booking our rooms so that we could start earning travel points for future stays & take advantage of the perks members get during their stays. Think FREE WI-FI, digital room keys, early check-in & late check-out and the ability to choose your own room. It's 100% free to become a member. *

Check out the beautifully maintained historic homes surrounding the hotel.

After a late Friday night celebrating at the Rehearsal Dinner, Twin sis and I ordered room service the next day while J got ready with the groomsmen. Yes, those onion rings were as amazing as they look!

Their Catholic ceremony was truly beautiful, and the reception at the Midvale Country Club certainly didn't disappoint. The view of the golf course was gorgeous so we all used that as our backdrop for our photos.

Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom! We all wish you nothing but love and laughter now and always.

Wasn't her dress just to die for?! She looked stunning!
